After a month of searching for the time to keep up with this project, I'm ready to admit that there is not time to be found. I don't want to give up on the project completely, but it is going to have to go into a deep freeze, maybe for 3-4 months, while I focus my efforts on my courses and on getting out some scholarly articles (before my career itself goes into deep freeze).
Thanks to anybody out there who checked in on this project from time to time.

Your few months seem to have dragged on a bit longer than expected. Hopefully your coursework and your career prospects have turned out okay. It may be time to come back to this project though . . . just a friendly reminder.
