This site is devoted to the technē, or artistic craft, of translating Homeric poetry into English verse. Its central feature is an ongoing translation of the Iliad in a fairly close but not slavishly literal version. Translations will be posted several times per week, along with brief comments. Visitors are strongly encouraged to offer their own comments on the translations.
